For 2021, Chevrolet introduced a handful of features to the Silverado 1500, including a jackknife alert system and a trailer-length indicator. The turbodiesel inline six-cylinder and turbo-four engines also gained towing capacity. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay became standard, and the base WT models gained access to forward automatic emergency braking. Finally, Chevy debuted the MultiFlex Tailgate, which is similar to GMC’s MultiPro Tailgate.
